Shipping 500 CDs.
Let’s tackle this head on. People are afraid to send their CDs to us for ripping.
Because they think their CD collection is just too big to mail.
When potential clients call we suggest removing their CDs from the plastic jewel cases they’re probably in at the moment. This dramatically reduces the volume that has to be shipped and the weight. Both result in lower mail costs. A task that seemed impossible is very doable (if that’s a word).
Here are two shipping solutions. The first is a CD wallet, this from Amazon. You can get similar carriers from eBay too and their capacities range from 20 or so right the way up. This has a listed capacity of 400 CDs and it’s good quality. It will keep your discs safe in transit and act as long term storage after being ripped.
The second shows what one client did. Simply took 550 discs out of their cases, slipped them into smaller plastic bags and shipped them to us. This box was the resulting package. Using an internet based carrier it cost just £8 to get it across to us.
If you’re hesitating about using us as a CD ripping service and at the back of your mind you’re thinking it’s all too much to mail be assured – even 500 CDs is very mailable.
