Ripping CDs became a major part of our lives when we launched one of the first commercial CD ripping services in the UK. Ten years later we have substantial digital music experience and a network of PCs and Apple Macs optimised for music ripping.
Over the years we’ve looked at virtually every CD ripping alternative, not just the mainstream systems such as iTunes but the most unimaginably obscure. We’ve learnt a lot, especially how to rip CDs into MP3 very, very fast. We’ve taken the knocks, examined the robots, torn our hair out over ripping codecs and computer code – all so you don’t have to.
CD Ripping Service
Our first venture was targeted at Apple iPod users in London (podServe.co.uk), but it soon became clear that there was a demand for professional CD ripping across the rest of the country. The solution was obvious – a mail based service for people who simply want high quality MP3 files. And that’s what we’ve done.
Because we don’t need to spend time driving to collect your CDs, and we have massive CD ripping capacity, we pass on those cost savings to you. That’s us – a service to convert music CDs into high quality MP3 files, using mail and courier services. The name was obvious.
As music lovers we quickly came to appreciate the value of having a music library that’s well organised, with albums, genres, composers etc that are consistent and simple to access. Sadly, that’s now how your music will appear “out of the box” so we developed our Data Grooming Service to give you a digital music library that’s a joy to use.
We listen to our clients. Very soon it became clear that we needed to expand our offering. MP3 music has always been popular but there’s enormous demand for CD ripping into other music file formats. So we’ve expanded the range of file formats we support – alongside MP3 we provide FLAC, Apple Lossless, AAC and every so often AIFF.
We can supply your music back on DVDs or on USB hard drives. No doubt as the market develops we’ll be offering even more, so if there’s something you’d like us to add, just let us know.
