Ripping CDs and audiobooks has become a major part of our lives since we launched one of the first commercial CD ripping services in the UK. Now, seven years later we have substantial digital music experience and a network of PCs and Apple Macs optimised for music ripping.
Over the years we’ve looked at virtually every CD ripping alternative, not just the mainstream systems such as iTunes but the most unimaginably obscure. We’ve learnt a lot, especially how to rip CDs into MP3 very, very fast. We’ve taken the knocks, examined the robots, torn our hair out over ripping codecs and computer code - all so you don’t have to.
Our first venture was targeted at Apple iPod users in London (podServe.co.uk), but it soon became clear that there was a demand for professional CD ripping across the rest of the country. The solution was obvious - a mail based service for people who simply want high quality MP3 files. And that’s what we’ve done.
Because we don’t need to spend time driving to collect your CDs, and we have massive CD ripping capacity, we pass on those cost savings to you. That’s us - a service to convert your music CDs into high quality MP3 files, using mail and courier services. The name was obvious.
