Why MP3?
CD ripping is available to all types of music data files? Why MP3?
When we started planning this CD ripping service we wanted to offer a service that offered as much as possible to users of as many music devices as possible. That pointed instantly to the use of MP3 as the CD ripping format. MP3 is the most common format that plays on the widest range of devices, from the cheapest Chinese portable music players, Apple iPods through base home music systems up to top of the range units.
MP3 plays everywhere.
We can rip CDs to MP3 very fast, and time is money. So we can pass these savings on to you.
MP3 offers a wide variety of compression rates, and it’s this factor that determines the quality of the sound you enjoy. If you just want to pack as much music as possible into your iPod as you train for the London marathon or you want the walls of your country pile to echo to the finest strains of classical music, MP3 delivers.
It’s a small point but people understand the term MP3 - in fact it’s almost the hoover or xerox of the digital music world. Some music freaks wax lyrical about FLAC or Monkey Audio or some other weird file format, but for the majority of our clients the term MP3 is one they know and understand. We wanted our clients to be comfortable with a key element of our service - MP3 delivers on that.
Future proof - every mainstream digital music device plays MP3 music files. Nobody is going to release a new product that turns its back on the vast catalogue of MP3 music that’s out there. Your MP3 files will play now and in the future.
We’re not inflexible, if you need a different format talk to us and we’ll do everything we can to meet you requirements, but if you decide to stick with MP3 you won’t regret it.
